Moving container fees (Pods, Door-to-Door and similar companies) are a little more complex, so please contact us for details.

Albany, CA
$60 per day for the City fee. Our service fee is $100. The typical total one day permit fee is about $160.
Alexandria, VA
$60 for 40 feet per day in non-metered areas. $80 for 40 feet per day in metered areas. Our service fee is $75. That said, the all-inclusive fee for a typical one-day, with about 40 feet of space, without meters is $135.
Ann Arbor, MI
The city fee is $95 per property line. Parking meters are additional. Our fee is $100 for permits requested.
Annapolis, MD

In metered areas add an additional $15.00 per day for each parking meter with a time limit of 4 hours or less or $11.00 per day for each parking meter with a time limit of more than 4 hours. That said, a typically all-inclusive cost for a one-day permit with approx. 40 feet of space, without meters is $134.
Austin, TX
The first day is $45 for 40 feet (about 2 parking spaces) with two signs. Each additional day is $20 more. For areas longer than 40 feet, the City charges additional $10 per parking space. The meters fees range between $3-$10 per day. Our fee is $100. For example, typical fee for one-day permit with two signs, without meters including everything is $145.
Baltimore, MD
The City charges $65 per permit. Our service fee is $130. That said, the typical all-inclusive fees for a one-day permit is $195, this includes the City fee ($65) and our service fee ($130).
Berkeley, CA
Berkeley charges about $90 for a one-day, non-metered area, permit with 3 signs. We normally apply for a 50 foot area unless you specifically request a larger area. Our service fee is $120. That said, the normal all-inclusive fee for a one-day, 50 foot area (without parking meters) is $210. Metered areas cost more.
Beverly Hills, CA
The City charges $13.16 for two signs (for about 40 feet of space). Our fee is $140. Metered or larger areas may cost more.
Boston, MA
Our service fee is $60 for professional movers and $75 to the general public. The City's fee for one day is $69 for 40 feet (about 2-3 parking spaces) with two signs. Each additional day is $11 more. For areas longer than 40 feet, the City charges additional fees. Meters are an additional $20 per day per metered spot. Typical all-inclusive costs for one-day Boston permit with two signs (no meters) is $144 (for non-professional movers). Rush Orders: If your request requires us to make a special trip to city hall for your permit, its an extra $25. Sorry, these requests are a huge drain of our resources.
Brookline, MA
The Town charges $5 per sign. Depending on the move, two or more signs may be required. Parking meters are an additional $10 per meter head per day. Our fee is $80. The town's moving container permits fee is is $75.
Burbank, CA
Our service fee is $120. The City's fee is $113 for about 40-60 feet of non-metered space. Metered areas cost more. That said, the typical all-inclusive cost for a one-day, non-metered area is $233.
Burlingame, CA
Burlingame charges a base fee of $135 plus $10 per parking space, per day for Moving Van permits. Moving Container Permits (e.g., PODS, ABF/U-Pack) are typically about $200 for up to three days maximum. Our fee is an additional $100.
Calgary, AB Canada
Our Service Fee: $60. City Fees: The Street Use/Temp. No Parking permit(s) with two signs costs $37 for up to 2 days. Barricade Rental & Sign Authorization w/ Removal: $120 That said, the typical fee for a one-day permit, without meters, 40 feet of space is $215.
Cambridge, MA
The City charges $25 per day for up to 50 feet. Additional footage cost more. Parking meters are an additional $10 per meter head per day. Our fee is $60. Construction parking fees are significantly higher.
Charlotte, NC
Our fee is $70. As we understand it now, Charlotte does not charge for their moving permits.
Chicago, IL
The City charges $25 per day for about 50 feet of space. Metered areas often cost substantially more. Our fee is $60 for professional movers and $75 to the general public. We do NOT post the signs in the City of Chicago unless specifically requested. Our sign posting/verification fee is an additional $40.
Cincinnati, OH
Our service fee is $135. Typically Cincinnati permits are free. Additional meter fees are likely to apply to metered zones.
Culver City, CA

Mountain View, CA

Nantucket, MA
Permit Puller Fee: $75 per hour. City Fees: Free. Nantucket issues permits granting permission to obstruct a street/sidewalk for a specific date and time. The application must be approved by the Police Dept, Fire Dept, Public Works Dept and the Town Administrator. The process requires us to physically walk the application into each town dept for signature. It typically takes about 2-3 hours to process the application.
New Orleans, LA
In non-metered areas, the typical City fee is $192: $40 Application Fee + $90 Inspection Fee + $60 for up to 7 days. In metered areas, the City fee is: $45 fixed fee for each meter + ($40 in French Quarter or Canal St) or ($30 in the CBD) or ($20 in any other area). Permit Puller Fee is $100.
Newport Beach, CA
Permit Puller Fee: $120 City Fees: A typical move requiring 40ft of space will cost $57. Metered locations may cost more. That said, If you are not a moving company the typical fee for one day permit with two signs, without meters including everything is $177.
Oakland, CA
Permit Puller Fee: $130. City Fee: $121.26 for a one-day, 50 foot area without parking meters. Oakland permits can get very pricey. Example: a two day, 75 feet, non-metered permits is $240. Our advice: narrow your move down to one-day and just 50 ft. Find a non-meter area whenever possible. Large spaces, multi day, metered areas, street closures (e.g. no sidewalk present, narrow or winding roadway, obstructions) fees are MUCH higher (and too complicated to accurately quote) and should be avoided. Street closure/obstruction permit fees are crazy high - avoid at all cost.
Palo Alto, CA
Permit Puller Fee: $100. City Fees: Palo Alto city fees are approx $100-128 for a one or two day permit. Fees fluctuate depending on meters, space requirements and # of days.
Pasadena, CA
Flat-fee $150. The flat fee is for a one-address, one-day, non-metered permit includes the City fees and our service fee for about 40 feet of curb length. Parking meters, additional days and/or more space will cost more.
Philadelphia, PA
Permit Puller Fee: $75. City Fees: The city charges $25 per day for a moving truck (for 40 feet of space) and $40 for containers (up to 5 days). Parking meters are an additional fee per meter head. The City will only provide this additional meter cost upon application for the permit.
Pittsburgh, PA
Permit Puller Fee for Moving Van: $130. Permit Puller Fee for Moving Container: $155. City Fees for Moving Van: $10 for moving van. The City seems to have different fees based on the permit address (i.e, residential district vs downtown). Call us for a rough estimate. City Fees for Moving Container: $25 per container per week.
Portland, ME
Permit Puller Fee: $130 City Fees: $15 per space per day.
Portland, OR
Permit Puller Fee: $95. City Fees: The City permit fees and regulations in Portland are confusing. Depending on the permit address, the City has three different pricing schemes. (1) Metered-areas are priced at $50 per metered space (20 feet) per day. (2) Non-metered permit address located in a congested area (this is determined by the City upon our application) are priced at $7.50 per space per day plus a flat fee of $32.50. (3) Permits in non-congested, non-metered area are $40 per day up to 80 feet. Lastly, if you wish to tow cars away from a permit area YOU must pay the city to do so.
Providence, RI

Permit Puller Fee: $100. City Fees: In metered spaces, the City requires at least 10 days notice in order to avoid an "expedited service fee" of $175. The permit fee is $50 + $11 per metered space. In non-metered spaces, the City fee is $60 for the permit. These fees are NOT solid as Sacramento is a bit of a nightmare to deal with and the fees they assess are often inconsistent - sorry.
Salem, MA

METER FEES: The City charges an additional "lost revenue fee" for metered areas at $7 per meter per day. Take this into consideration as this will substantially affect pricing for multi-day and/or multi-metered moves. This meter fees will be in addition to the fees quoted above. If we see meters in google street-view this fee will be added automatically unless you indicate otherwise in your request. PRICING ALERT: Beginning July 1 (7/1/14), the fee for San Francisco is going up $25, to $275 total.
San Jose, CA

Seattle, WA
Typical Fee: $160. The typical fee of $160 is for a two day, non-metered, up to 60ft (3 car lengths) parking lane reservation. Any deviation from a two-day, non-metered request for 60 ft of space will result in a fee increase. The price for a metered location will be calculated as follows: $135 + the cost of the meters + the permit fee (typically $16-$24). This fee includes everything (City permit fees, City meter fee, barricades, barricade verification and our service fee, et cetera). Multi-day or larger spaces fees are higher.

Our service fee is $75. CITY FEES MOVES: The City charges $55 per permit for 44 feet of parking space (about 2-3 car lengths) - two-day maximum. If metered, it's an additional $24-48 per meter per day. CITY MOVING CONTAINER FEES: The City charges $55 for up to 5-days plus any applicable meters fees. HINT: Save money by avoiding metered area whenever possible.
